Acer AS1430Z-4677 Review – Mini Laptop with powerful performance

Always thinking that Acer computer products are low end budget laptops is just wrong.

I thought I would never bought an Acer laptop, but I am very satisfied to get this Acer AS1430Z-4677 (Acer AS1430Z-4677 11.6-Inch Laptop (Diamond Black)).

This unit is definitely the high quality of a little powerhouse for $278.99.

I have never been happy with any flavor of getting a netbook idea (especially their cramped keyboards).

And most Netbooks have 10.1-inch screen which are not usable to me.

This Acer AS1430Z-4677 mini laptop’s 11.6-inch Acer AS1430Z-4677 is just what I was looking for, it is portable but also usable. I needed and wanted a real computer, long battery life, decent storage, enough of RAM, and most important is a great speed processor.

Purchasing Acer AS1430Z-4677 is not an impulse purchase for me, I did a lots of research first.

I went to BestBuy after doing the research and found the laptops with similar specs had double the price.

Actually I searched a laptop with the specs I want and considered the price too. I thought, if I did not like the laptop, at least the price was not more than $1000.

This Acer Aspire AS1430Z-4677 is a very portable machine, you can hardly guess if this device is a laptop or a netbook.

Acer AS1430Z-4677 weighs around 3lbs, really light! Love the portability since I wanted a unit which can fit anywhere with enough left over space.

Firstly, this unit comes with Windows 7 full version, and nearly all of netbooks come with Windows Starter Operating System.

And if you want to upgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium, you would have to spend about $70 extra!

Then, if you really compare the netbooks and this Acer AS1430Z-4677 laptop, you will not find big cost difference. This will give you more power to do your computing needs.

I know small laptops like this unit will not replace my home desktop, but this portable Acer Aspire as1430z-4677 has a real laptop specification in a little package. It comes with a great screen resolution and 1.3 MP HD webcam.

Multitasking is also awesome, I run word, winamp, firefox and also Adobe at the same time, and it had no hitches. Since it has crisp quality of high resolution screeb watching videos from YouTube, and Netflix is just great.

If you use Word or Excel a lot, the page up and page down keys might be a letdown. I tend to always click the page up key whenever I wanted to hit the arrow key, they are odd placed.

Acer AS1430Z-4677 Review Summary

Pros: very portable and light, Windows 7 Home Premium on this 11.6 inch laptop, awesome multitasking, crisp resolution, HDMI and 3 of USB ports, 3GB of RAM and 320GB HD, super price for super capacity and speed.

Cons: short battery life, no optical drive.

If you are searching for a top line laptop for a reasonable price, this notebook will disappoint you, however if you are looking for portable, small laptop, you will love this Acer Aspire AS1430Z-4677, if you own a skimpy netbook, it is a perfect upgrade.

I really recommend Acer AS1430Z-4677 if you want a netbook’s portability but a power of a full range laptop.
