ASUS A53SV-XE1 Review – Overview
I purchased this ASUS A53SV-XE1 15.6-Inch Versatile Entertainment Laptop – Black two weeks ago with 6GB of RAM, as well as 640gb Hard Disk, have used it everyday for two weeks now, and the only thing I can say, is wow!
This machine is not the best for gamers, but I have run Call Of Duty 4 MW1 on high settings, run smooth without problems. (got it at $699 here)
I found the keys are a bit small so it is comfortable enough to type on but not really great for gaming, however they touchpad is really good and very responsive.
Another minor downside is it comes with 5400RPM Hard Disk that is really nowhere close as fast as my old 7200RPM when copying files, and it does not include USB 3.0, so be ware.
Overall, this machine is looking great and has fast performance (the i7 CPU is amazingly quick processor).
I have tried to slow this thing down, from installing one of my games from the DVD-drive while downloading its updates online, then installing those updates all at once, and this ASUS A53SV-XE1 handled it nicely, no bad affects.
To me, the best feature about this laptop its fast intel i7 processor that comes up acting as 8 cores in many programmes.
I work mostly with Premiere pro from Adobe to do video editing, and the cpu acting as 8 cores, and also utilizes them too.
I have noticed a significant processing speed in comparison to my previous intel core 2 quad laptop.
I managed to transfer all of my files and the settings from my old vista notebook with the Windows 7 intregated transfer application, and it boots in only 15 seconds, although I did not do a “clean” install, appreciably quicker.
The included ports
The battery of this ASUS A53SV-XE1 is decent, but most of us know most battery life of all laptops are naff enough, have not tested the exact duration but I am probably having 3 until 4 hours with this machine.
The webcam and the video card quality, I have not discovered something to whine about.
The speakers is not bad for a laptop, and I suggest you to turn the sound really down before you plugin in headphones, because it can shock you and your ear too.
The ASUS A53SV-XE1 wireless appears to be sensitive and it works nice just about anywhere in our pretty big house.

ASUS A53SV-XE1 Review – Summary
I personally really like this ASUS A53SV-XE1 looks, really good looking, fast i7 processor, huge RAM, high-index scores, nice for gaming, brilliant sound, good webcam and dvd drive.
So for anyone who is considering replacing their old desktop or old laptop I would certainly recommend this ASUS A53SV-XE1 as the best value for your money available.
