ASUS K50IJ-XA1 Review – Overview
I got this ASUS K50IJ-XA1 for my birthday as I would like to have a laptop with an Intel HD graphics, and I really like this laptop so far.
Most of 15.6-inch laptops do not come with built-in numbers pad, but this ASUS K50IJ-XA1 Versatile Entertainment Laptop (Black) does.
From the size wise, I have measured another 15-inch such as HP laptops, Toshiba’s and compaq, these laptops don’t include the number pads, and they have around 14″ in width, and around 10″ in hight.
And this laptop has an inch more than them in weight, but 8″ less in height!

So I consider this laptop as a light weight devices for all its features.
As we know that ASUS is the leader of computer manufacturers, first brand for computers.
The full keyboard with its numbers pad makes everything easier since I have worked with numbers almost everyday. The Dual Core T6500 processor and 4GB of RAM really speeds up its graphics renderring process.
Although similar like another laptops which are loaded with lots of bloatware, I could resize Windows 7 partitions for a dual boot easily. Eventhough those junks bloatware are easy to uninstall, however it still takes time to remove them. I then installed my preferred antivirus software, etc.
Windows 7 Operating System and security is really big improvement over previous Windows versions. I could work with OpenOffice very well, and other open source programs I used to have in my older laptop easily, eventhough in Windows.
What stands out from this laptop beside its numbers pad is its cool running, this ASUS K50IJ-XA1 Versatile Entertainment Laptop really performs way quieter than many other laptops I have tried.
The battery stays approximentally 3-4 hours as I don’t really time it. But with full activity such as browsing, gaming, the battery will last around 3 hours.
I have to say, this laptop doesn’t come with recovery disks, so you need to make your own, and I needed about 6 disks and took more than two hours to burn.

ASUS K50IJ-XA1 Review Summary
Summary:
It is really fantastic laptop, not only if you love to game, but it is slim in design, and comes with a great screen size.
This laptop has a plus since it features full-size keyboard (which other 15.6-inch laptops do not have) along with its number keys which are placed on the right as a standard placement.
All and all, this unit is fast, lightweight, great sized beatiful screen, speedy processor, big 500GB hard drive, and it has everything I could want and for just $311.00 it is definitely a no brainer. ASUS K50IJ-XA1 is a great unit.
