C655D-S5230 Review – Overview

I just got this  Toshiba Satellite C655D-S5230 15.6-Inch Laptop (Black) model, and using this machine to write at the moment.

This machine runs fine with many windows opened, comes it 3GB of RAM, and I have not experienced any apparent problems with it thus far.

This laptop has a nice casing, and solid build. I am really impressed with the pictures quality after playing a movie for a few hours, the screen is clear, has nice colors range. (got at at $379.99)

Performance wise, this laptop is great for emails, surfing internet, watching movies, or storing images.

However, I need to say, if you look for a laptop to play high end games, this machine will possibly disappoint you, but I have played decent games like grand theft auto, this Toshiba laptop performs well.

The battery life is fine, depending on what I am doing, if I use it for high performance programmes, I could get for about 3-4 hours.

Start up is a breeze, I needed around 4 minutes. First step, I had to give my basic informations, for instance the country where I live in, etc.

Then, for getting wireless connectivity, you can just select the hub, type your security keys, and then you are all set and done.

Windows 7 Home Premium edition is a really smooth operating system, well structured, as well as easy to personalize, it will also install windows live messenger, and movie maker automatically.

It has a few trials programs and many bloatwares, though they are easy to delete, it needed a while to clean them up.

Before you personalize your windows, I really recommend you to do laptop backup, I need a 3 blank discs to do the backup. Doing the backup and deleting unnecessary programmes will allow you to reformat your laptop in the future, and will increase the performance, it will be a lot faster with your own programmes.

A laptop with a built-in webcam is important to me. This machine has a top notch web camera.

As I am aware of, this Toshiba C655D-S5230 does not burn up my lap as some laptops do, as its heat goes out from its back vent. This machine comes with only 2 USB ports but they are nicely placed with the other ports, such as microphone, audio ethernet and the charge port.

Other big plus, the keyboard does feel great and solid, easy to type on, and it is intregated with the numberpad to the right.

Overall, after a week using, I am very pleased with this machine.

The Toshiba C655D-S5230 is a great laptop at an excellent price, I would recommend to everyone but also recommend a few blank discs at the same time.
