Creative ZiiO Review — Overview
I purchased this Creative ZiiO tablet because I was searching at an e-reader like Kindle but needed a bit more of something like a tablet.
I was considering of getting an Apple iPad but I did not want to spend above $400 for a tablet.
I also already own an iPhone and I don’t like the restriction from Apple for the apps and over-priced hardware.
Because I always like Creative devices such as their MP3 player, so I went for this Creative ZiiO tablet.
When I received it, it was very well packaged, and came with a stylus, a USB cable, and a power adapter.
I was really impressed when I unboxed it, it is definitely a steal at this price. (sold at $189.99 here)
I knew it might not be powered of an iPad processor or Samsung Galaxy tab, but I paid almost a third of their prices and it allows me to have more of apps – fair trade to me.
So, after charging, I connected to wi-fi easily, and then I went to creative lab website and amazon apps store, because it did not come with Google android market apps.
So in order to access apps, you will need a small effort, like accessing creative lab app website or amazon app store, so you will need an account, but it will need roughly two minutes to set an account by using your Creative ZiiO 16 GB 7-Inch Android 2.1 Wireless Entertainment Tablet (White).
Once I was in the amazon apps store, I could instantly download any apps I want, and then I played with this device all night. From reading ebooks with Kindle and writing email, playing in Facebook, and watching videos in YouTube.
I have tried all, but not at the same time, I certainly gave it something to think about from time to time. I even managed to download some apps, eventhough some apps just don’t work. But I knew it because Android is still fairly new, so it will need time to grow.
