Dell Inspiron i15R-526MRB Review- Overview

I bought this Dell Inspiron i15R-526MRB two weeks ago to replace my old (5 years) 17″ Dell notebook. (Got it at $279 here! Hurry up)

I looked for a laptop with smaller screen size, because with a 17″, it is a bit too big to use it in the lap.

The Inspiron 526MRB size is exactly ideal for my need.

It is really incredible what a 5 years difference can make.

This laptop is noticeably faster than my old one although it had a dual-core processor.

The display is really clear, it is really fast for processing speed or launching websites.

It includes the newest line of i3 laptop processor, which is obviously faster in processing compared with other previous CPU generations.

Appearance wise, this Dell  i15R-526MRB is really good looking, very sleek and it is kind of streamlined.

Although it is called, “Mars black”, but in fact it is a very nice glossy woody brown. I did not know it before this laptop arrived, it also includes DVD drive.

The Dell Inspiron 526MRB does have a small card reader slot so you’re able to insert any of digital camera models card in and your laptop will recognize it as a different drive, letting you manipulating your pictures or files as you wish and also to very easily copying, removing and deleting all or some of them from your camera card.

Surprisingly, I really enjoy Dell Inspiron 526MRB operating system which is Windows 7 Home Premium edition.

You can modify the style easily, which makes it very pleasing and straightforward to work with.

Normally I complain a bit in regard to Windows operating system being laggy sometimes, but Windows 7 is just very nice to use.

There are some ports, two USB 2.0 ports, a combo eSATA, and so on, which is really helpful for file transfering.

The included 3GB of DDR3 RAM is a great upgrade from my old 2GB RAM, and I won’t need to upgrade this machine’s RAM within this machine’s lifetime.

The HDMI port and connection is really important, and to me is the best feature of this Dell Inspiron i15R.

You can forget cable, all of your entertainment will come from this Dell Inspiron i15R-526MRB laptop right to your HDTV in high definition quality.

The 320 GB SATA of storage which comes with this Dell Inspiron i15R-526MRB 15.6-Inch Laptop (Mars Black) is a lot more than enough to save all of my personal digital files and documents.

The ports of the laptop

Only small downside here is the hard drive is on 5400RPM, which is slower than a 7200RPM hard drive, but I don’t mind it, as faster Hard drive will definitely eat the battery life too.

About battery life, I was actually somewhat uncertain simply because I knew that most of laptops do have short battery life.

With this laptop however, I need to say the battery life time is darn good, but not best. I am getting about four hours with very intensive usage.

The keyboard is very comfortable to type on, and it is a full sized keyboard with the numpad. The touchpad is also really responsive.

About the laptop speakers, like any other average laptop speakers, they are perfectly fine, but I think for music or watching movies, you will still need headphones.

I did not expect to have an i3 intel processor powered laptop around this price range which included full functionalities this Dell 526MRB has.

I’ve owned Dell laptop previously and I will continue on being pleased with their laptops.
