Nikon D5100 Review – Overview
Since I have a hobby which is Photography, I really need and nearly always carry my camera, no matter where I go, to snap any moments that are mostly beautiful and very important to remember if I have the opportunity.
Thinking of my old camera which is D90, that I have sucessfully used to frame any moments I had with my family for years, I finally thought to get a better camera to have a step further on my photography hobby.
What I needed was simply one camera which can grow together with me and my photography hobby.
It has been weeks, I have been searching for a great camera, thought to get the Nikon D3100 and finally decided to purchase this Nikon D5100. I have been happy with it thus far, since the Nikon D5100 is an absolutely an amazing camera.
If you are a person who is getting into dSLR photography, this camera .has a user friendly menu to play around, and it is very intuitive so I really have learnt a lot of new things without reading its manual.
The Nikon D5100 settings is displayed on the rear LCD screen, it is very easy to find, otherwise, you can also directly go to the menus of the camera.
I am very amazed with the improved sensor of this camera which extremely improved with its 16.2 megapixels sensors.
The Nikon D5100 better sensor gives incredibly better pictures, very true to the actual object’s color. When I looked at the results, I often think I took a picture as close to the real objects.
This camera really have a great ISO settings when you shoot in low lightning environtment, it will give you a better sensitivity of color.
This Nikon D5100 16.2MP CMOS Digital SLR Camera is great on autofocus, although it does not include the Autofocus motor. Unlike other cameras which have awful seconds delay for AF, I often lost those moments where my toddler was on the wild move. this camera is truly fast that I could always easily shoot a few pictures by using its AF.
My favourite feature of Nikon D5100 is the ability to edit the pictures right on the camera itself and it has been useful, because it saved my times, since I don’t have to use Photoshop or any other image editing programs.
Surely, you can get better quality while cropping or editing the pictures in Photoshop, but I found this feature is just awesome.
Additionally, the 1080p D-Movie with sound in HD quality feature of this Nikon D5100 camera is absolutely amazing.
I took a short video of my kid, and the result of the quality was way better than some professionals I have hired previously. It really has an amazing ability to take beautiful HD videos that I really think I would not ever want an extra HD videos recorder.
The 3-inch rear LCD screen is a quite big display to help you viewing your object as well as clear enough to change or adjust some of your camera settings to improve your shots.
It is very nice to only view its rear LCD screen, view what I’ve gotten, deal the various settings accordingly, and mostly get the shots better immediately.
