Toshiba C655-S5123 Review – Overview

I have used this Toshiba Satellite C655-S5123 15.6-Inch Notebook PC for roughly a week and just satisfied with it.

I bought it to replace my old regular laptop that has hardware faulty. I needed a laptop with a large nice screen, a full size keyboard and powerful to work with.

I was not searching for a good looking laptop, but I received one, Toshiba C655-S5123 is a gorgeous laptop. (sold at at $278.00 here)

My only small complaint is that I can not adjust the audio settings with the keyboard as far as I have seen, so I needed to adjust it by opening its speaker settings window.

Here are the best settings to get the best volume loudness, on the taskbar, right lower area of your screen, right click the speaker little icon, select, playback devices, speakers and then properties. Then click on Enhancement tab, tick the Loudness Equalization checkbox then hit “Apply” button and “OK”.

This setting helped to get a better sound level.

Actually, this laptop’s hardware is really basic, nothing is really special, a 2.1GHz single core Intel Celeron processor along with 2 Gigs of RAM, 250 GB Hard Drive, 2 of USB ports, and that’s it, but there are a few things which make this Toshiba Satellite C655-S5123 15.6-Inch Notebook PC a really nice in basic laptop category.

This Toshiba C655-S5123 has spectacular solid battery life.

I have not timed the battery life duration, but after two hours of watching movies and surfing on the internet, the battery still had an estimation of 3 hours battery life remaining, and that was without turning down the display brightness or setting any power conservings. Due to its “low” power usage.

This Toshiba Satellite C655-S5123 15.6-Inch Notebook PC has also ran exceptionally cool in comparison to my two other laptops I have owned.

Furthermore, this Toshiba laptop has a nice full-size keyboard and a number pad.

My older laptop that worked well, but had a keyboard which did not include a number pad, and this Toshiba C655-S5123 has number pad which is nice and important for people who regularly need the 10-key method to work with their datas.

Toshiba C655-S5123 Review – In Summary

Considering the machine specification and functionality as mentioned above, this laptop will not replace your desktop or higher end notebooks anytime, but this is a perfect machine if you look for a laptop which has longer battery life and full size keyboard with a full number pad.

This Toshiba C655-S5123 wins on its extra battery life compared to my older laptops, no wonder Toshiba is a favorite laptop brand on the market.
