Toshiba P755-S5274 Review

Toshiba P755-S5274 Review – Overview

I purchased this Toshiba P755-S5274 a couple weeks ago, after comparing a few laptops with the similar specs, and could not find a better priced one.

I had a Toshiba laptop in the past, and decided to get this Toshiba P755-S5274 because I already knew this would be a robust device, and it really is.

$599 is an extremely great value for an i5-2410M processor, and 6GB of RAM.

Plus the 640GB Hard Drive is more than enough for me, as I always store my large size files on my external hard drive anyway.

However, thus far I am really pleased. Windows 7 Operating system is uncomplicated to get on with and it has better performance compared to older version, however I would say it is fair enough to mention here, that I have not put a lot of programs on my Toshiba P755-S5274 yet, on the other hand you will find a lot of the pre-installed junk bloatware to take of, too.

My Toshiba Satellite

A little downside for me is the Toshiba P755-S5274 screen, it will give you reflection when you have this Toshiba P755-S5274 laptop placed on a surrounding lights or outdoor.

Another note, I had a little issue with the Toshiba P755-S5274 trackpad, as I needed a while getting use to it, but it was not really problem to me. (the trackpad is is actually off centre to the left side.)

This Toshiba Satellite P755-S5274 15.6-Inch LED Laptop (Platinum) also provides a numeric keypad that is not often available on laptops that makes it excellent when people are dealing with numbers just like I always do as I don’t have to purchase an extra numberpad.

Sure, every laptop has QWERTY keys including the numbers above its letters, but using an included numberpad which your home computer keyboard has makes working with data on Excel much faster.

About wireless connectivity, this Toshiba Satellite P755-S5274 works immediately with my router, set it up, and running great in five minutes..

For the speaker, I have not found it to be an issue as they are laptop speakers, the quality is marginal, not great, but still better than most laptops with this price tags .

The Battery life is fine even though I haven’t really tested this. I would say at about 3 until 4 hours for constant usage.

Toshiba P755-S5274 is capable to play most of the recent games, included high-end games like WoW or the Sims 3. I have played the Sims 3 and it runs just fine, although it is not as good as playing it on my desktop.

The webcam quality picture is nice and straightforward to setup. I have used it for skype but I have not tried the face recognition feature yet.

I like the Toshiba eco utility feature that will reduce the power consumption, it does really work, but it will also dim your laptop’s screen. If the screen is adjusted to be a little brighter, it will shut the eco utility settings off.
