Transfer pictures from computer to camera roll
When you want to copy your images or pictures onto your mobile phone, in this case, iPhone, you will be able to do that, however, it will not show in Camera Roll.
I am not sure how it is with iPhone 4, because I am still using iPhone 3G :-)
There are definitely some updates with the newest operating system, and also some fixes that sort things which were not perfect with the previous operating system.
When you google this problem, actually many advices, and most of them are honestly too techie for me!
Since I don’t want to jailbreak my iPhone, I kept looking and trying solutions how to transfer pictures from computer to camera roll.
Finally, this is how I could successfully transfer pictures from computer to camera roll without doing jailbreaks or installing apps, the method is actually very simple but worked well for me.
In short, it can be done by sending those pictures or photos to your mail account, (mine is a google mail account) and then save it (them) in your mobile phone, and they will be saved immediately in your Camera Roll.
Simple steps to transfer pictures from computer to camera roll
1. Send your photos which are saved in your desktop to your gmail account.
2. With your iPhone, open your gmail, and you will see this screen (as shown as the following screenshot)
The red line is actually a JPEG file, so it is the image that I want to copy from my PC to the iPhone.
To save that image, you can tap the image and a dialog box will show up, you can the click “Save Image” button which is yellow highlighted in the above screenshot.
3. After that, once your phone save the image, you can go to your Camera Roll, and the picture should be there.

I was amazed how I could easily transfer pictures from computer to camera roll.
