If you get an eye strain from reading paperbacks, it won’t happened again with White Kindle 3G, or the graphite one. The contrast of the device is the best of e-readers feature so far.

The ability to enlarge the font site if you think the current font is too small, will allow you to read without using glasses.

Free books are available in huge range as well as the premium ones in Kindle store, it also enables you to read the part of the sample before you want to buy them.

The downside is mostly the browsing experience, it is fine enough but quite far from perfect.

Though it is helpful if you want to visit wikimedia website or your blog, but the pointer navigation of white Kindle 3G and the graphite one, is a little bit awful.
