One of the most useful feature in Windows based computer is Windows Media Player (popular being called only, WMP).
You can do a lot of things related with videos with it, and I honestly missed WMP when I switched from PC to Mac.
However, when it comes to other things you want to do with your movies, for example, like reading srt file, I recently have issues, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t.
It doesn’t matter what you do, such as renaming the same name of the movie file and the srt files, it just didn’t work.
Tired of installing many codecs that I thought it would help, I decided to look for Windows Media Player alternative, both for my Windows computers and iMac.
Best Windows Media Player Alternative is VLC
I immediately found VLC media player, which is an open source, means everyone can download it, and in my opinion, it works a lotttttttttttt better than WMP.
Not saying that I dislike WMP now, but if you still use WMP, you should try VLC, and I am sure you will definitely love it.
The program is very light, and it doesn’t slow down my system, the first thing I noticed after using it for a few minutes.
Also, it’s extremely easy to use, basically, just download, install and you are all set.
So, if you look for Windows Media Player alternative, for your Mac or Windows computers, I can only recommend VLC media player.
